Hi my name is lamia and I am 7 years old and I live with my mom, dad, sister, and brother. My mom’s name is Aleah and she is 30 years old, my dad’s name is Abdu and he is 35 years old, My sisters name is Nadia and she is 10 years old, and my brother’s name is Kamal and he is 13. My home is a small house in southern Sudan and it is made of concrete.

 My morning routine is I help my family with what they need before school.

My mid-day routine is going to school to get a great education. I only get an hour at school but I really like it and I like to see all of my friends that live in my area. At my school we learn a lot and I like to learn so I can be very knowledgeable.

After noon I help my family a little bit more with preparing for dinner. When I get home from school I help my family get some water because in Sudan mostly all of the kids go and get water for their family.

For dinner my mom finishes gathering the food together and my mom makes enough food to feed 10 instead of 6. My favorite food is stew. When it is dinner time my family gathers around the floor and we all enjoy a yummy meal.

When I go to sleep I share a bed with my siblings and we all squish up together because our bed is small but if is not really a bed it is just a piece of cardboard because we cannot afford a regular bed. I feel bad for my mommy and daddy because they have to sleep on the hard ground because we cannot afford lots.
